Our room overlooked a parking lot across the street from the hotel, which prompted me
to park
my car there so I could keep my eye on it.

I planned in advance
to park
at the Wannamaker parking lot under Macy`s instead of using the valet- at $40/day + 28%, it was worth the trouble to move my own car.

As others have said, the area does not seem too safe, and I would not have wanted

to park
your car there for a week-long conference.
