1. I had no issues during check in/out though with 2 people working the desk that was clearly designed for at least 4-5, things got backed up quickly.

2. Among the disadvantages of the age and the 'discount hotel' status: the pool heater usually was on the fritz, leaving the pool too cold to swim in, even when temps were in the 80s; the pool sometimes overflowed and caused water to stream across the pavement and into the landscaping, because the drainage system apparently has flaws; the hot tub doesn't bubble, because the jets apparently are broken (but the tub was hot and relaxing, nonetheless); the room decor is dated and downmarket; the paint job in the rooms was pretty sloppily done; the pool bar and cafe is really neither--it's actually a snack bar with microwave type food, bottles of beer, and what I assume were packaged, pre-frozen fruity drinks with very little alcohol; the pool snack bar and cafe accepts only cash, but does have an ATM, if you're willing to pay the $3.25 fee; the cafe and bar has a tip jar, but I'm not sure why--the woman behind the counter was more interested in watching television than in helping customers; the nearly two-hour wait to check in--yes *two hours* of standing in a line that wound through the lobby.

3. The Outside: They call themselves 'Worlds largest Econo Lodge' :) They have around 700 rooms, so expect a huge line at reception for check in.

4. stayed here with my 2 children for xmas + new year, check in was fine, the reception staff were ok especially crystal + randall they were very helpful, our room overlooked car park which was quiet, the pool area never had many sunbeds i counted 15 and when i ask if there was any more the lady in poolside cafe said no,the pool was ok though the water nice and warm,it is in an ideal spot on i drive near to lots of resturants, bars ect, pirates cove over the road was good fun and ponderosa and sizzlers were great for buffet breakfasts,my main problem was the room smelt very musky and our clothes always felt damp and we also see cockroaches most days,if i went florida again i wld try to find a different place to stay i think.

5. We actually felt sorry for the receptionist who seemed under a lot of pressure managing the check ins and answering the telephone all on her own, as everytime we stepped in to the lobby this always seemed to be the case with queues of tired impatient guests waiting their turn with the receptionist.

7. We told the check in assistant that we would like a room with a fridge but were then told that it would cost $10.00 per night.

10. We had a late check in, and that seemed to go relatively smooth, except for the unexpected $25 key deposit, that you'd get back once you checked out.
