1. Within walking distance of many great places to eat and just a few blocks from the trolly to the French Quarter, I couldnt have asked for a better place to stay.

4. Hotel has locked parking but only holds 20 cars, so like us, if it is full you park 2 blocks away and walk back and they pay for it.

5. While the ride into the french quarter area (must walk from last stop) can be lengthy, it was so much more pleasant than shopping for parking spots.

8. To walk to the French Quarter is about an hour, although saying this, there is a street car stop right outside the hotel which takes you up to Canal Street in about 15 minutes.

10. Although it is in the garden district, there are many vagrants on the streets nearby and I didn't feel comfortable knowing that basically anyone off the streets could walk into the hotel lobby and into the halls where the rooms are at any time.
