1. Charles street car line, which takes you to just about anywhere interesting you want to go in New Orleans, including the French Quarter for only $1.25 each way.

2. Shopping along Magazine Street is fun and the Saks Fifth Avenue on Canal Street is pretty amazing too for shopping.

Then second night in new room, restaurant below that is part of hotel was as raucous as Bourbon Street on New Year's Eve, then when things kind of quieted really late, two cars got into this incredible honking pi$$ing match right beneath us for 10 or 15 minutes, which apparently hotel chose not to address.

4. I enjoyed walking through the "Garden district" during the day and walking to bourbon street is not a bad walk.

6. The St Charles streetcar is 1/2 block away and then it runs up and down St Charles every 15 minutes or so until 11pm, when it runs every hour, so be prepared for that especially if down in Bourbon Street area.

8. What wins for me is that it is right on the St Charles Ave street car line.
