1. There is a street car that runs in front of the hotel, a short distance is Canal Street where more street cars make stops, CVS and Walgreens drug stores can be seen from the corner of Carondelet and Canal Streets, an Arby's fast food is close by (we stopped here for iced tea, which was delicious and refreshing as the day was a real scorcher), some other shops, close to good dining (we ate lunch at Deanie's Seafood - excellent), just across Canal Street Carondelet becomes Bourbon Street, and very close to the French Quarter attractions.
