1. 'Later when I called Wyndham to officially cancel my room (without refund), they told me housekeeping 'cleaned' the rug (vacuumed?), but I can't for the life of me imagine that doing anything to address the larger issues.

2. If I had not purchased the hotel and airfare as a package I would have turned around and checked out but the hotel was prepaid and I could not get a refund.
