1. A gas station is close by with reasonable rates (for anyone who has to fill up a rental car) as well as a nice choice of restaurants.

4. we are frequent travelers- not snobs or high maintenance by any means, but we generally won't stay in a hotel less than 3 stars because we can get great rates on Priceline or Hotwire.
