Recently stayed at the intercon Miami for two nightsNice hotel though the usual glass and marble design though the Henry Moore sculpture in the lobby was nice to look atRoom was ok though nothing special though facilities where good especially the leisure centre Service in the indigo bar was average at best and the menu choice was again pretty average Room service menu was also quite limiting and again in my view expensive and I really object to the 20% surcharge as well as the service charge they add Also coulnt work out why the bar only opened at 11am but you couldn't sit at the tables to get coffee earlier I was meeting a collegue for a meeting prior to meeting someone outside the hotel and in the lobby the furniture is not really that comfortable for that type of setting Not a bad hotel but have stayed at better intercons at a cheaper rate for 2 nights it's cost including breakfast plus two room service dinners and a couple of drinks in the bar over 800 bucks so you be the judge .

5. I can't prove this, but I believe that the Hotel Intercontinental Miami dishonors discount hotel reservations when there is something large going on in the city, like the tennis tournament going on that week, in order to take in guest paying the full rate.

If I were to come back to Miami, this would not be my first choice for a hotel as I prefer newer, smaller hotels but if you need a large hotel with good rates and lots of amenities that come with a big hotel, this will probably suit your needs, especially if you can get it for less than $200/night.

7. I stayed at the Intercontinental as part of a group for the Orange Bowl and we got a really good rate so I have to weigh my review against what I paid.
