1. The location is not within walking distance of much, but if you need to see a lot of the westside, it is relatively close to more - Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, not too bad to get to downtown or the airport - a great spot for seeing art galleries in major areas like the Getty, Bergamot Station, Culver City, etc. The service started out pleasant and typical for a Joie de Vivre hotel, but when our four-year-old got food poisoning at a Dodger game, we got a lot of extra-special help and support, from housekeeping particularly.

3. A former resident of LA, I know my way around very well so, I wasn't too worried about the location, right off the 405 it's very close to Getty, and an easy drive to Santa Monica, but a bit of a trek to events in Hollywood and Downtown.

4. Now, LA is a HUGE city so if you had business downtown or something like that the location wouldn't be good but for me I loved it.

5. We soon realised that all was not lost though as the hop on hop off bus (pickup in Brentwood, a 15 minute walk from the hotel) operates regularaly and can be used to access all the main tourist spots from downtown L.

7. Other than that the location of the hotel is right on spot - being close to Brentwood, which is one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the COUNTRY and having close proximity to Santa Monica beach, Hollywood, and downtown.

8. The farthest place was Downtown LA which took 40 mins to get to and the only time we experienced 'LA Traffic' and thats because I went to a Laker game.

10. We`ve been to similar types of restaurant - the stratosphere in Las Vegas, the Bonaventure & 555 at downtown Los Angeles and the only rotating restaurant in Niagara Falls (Canada side).
