1. This hotel is located in an excellent location just some steps from the walk of fame and Kodak Theatre, you also have a shopping mall just next to the hotel, but you have to walk and find a hidden path to get into the shopping mall, once you are there you will have an extremely nice view of the hills with the Hollywood sign.

2. Enjoyed a 1 bedroom suite w 2 beds and 2 chairs and a outdoor patio overlooking the pool and full size sliding doors for a great view.

Literally walk out the door and across the street, up a ramp and you find yourself in a courtyard on Hollywood Blvd at the heart of the action - look to the left and you will see a distant but good view of the Hollywood sign - walk to the street and you will be on the Walk of Fame - turn right and you will be at Grauman's Chinese theatre - there are shops and restaurants galore nearby and we found that it was a great centrally located departure point to explore Beverly Hills, the Burbank studios, Santa Monica, Melrose, and a whole lot more.

4. For an excellent meal, go up to Franklin, cross over behind the Magic Castle and walk up to the top of the hill - modern Japanese Asian fusion restaurant, spectacular views, superb food (pricey, but worth it, and heck, you are getting a free breakfast .

5. There is a heated outdoor pool and apparently a great view from the very top level where there is a garden - I didn't get a chance to see it but hopefully next time.

6. Yamashiro's is a good hike up the hill and worth the view at night, accompanied by a cocktail.

9. There are lots of places to eat in and around the Hollywood and Highlands Centre and even a great view of the Hollywood Sign.
