3. There is no better located property - walk through the tunnel into Hollywood Highland Center and you're in the action with a great range of food, shopping and entertainment right there.

The location was brilliant, close to the main part of Hollywood, with just a small walk( and I mean very small) to walk of fame, subways, bus stops, tour stops, Lux bus stop, Kodak theatre, Madame Trussads, Gruaman's Theatre, another wax museum, and shops to buy fresh food to take back to your room.

7. For an excellent meal, go up to Franklin, cross over behind the Magic Castle and walk up to the top of the hill - modern Japanese Asian fusion restaurant, spectacular views, superb food (pricey, but worth it, and heck, you are getting a free breakfast .

Within minutes we could walk to the Hollywood & Highland Center, Kodak Theatre, Hollywood Walk of Fame, El Capitan Theatre, Chinese Theatre, Mel's Diner, California Pizza Kitchen among many other fast-food and high end eateries, the Metro (subway), Disney Soda Fountain, Starbucks, Hollywood Museum, Trusseaud's Wax Museum, Magic Castle, Roosevelt Hotel, and the Jimmy Kimmel Live studio.
