1. No closet but a rack with hangers, so you could park those suitcases underneath the bed.

2. The ceiling fan worked great when needed (rarely) and I noticed a space heater in the closet for colder weather-First floor gets a little noisy at 8am (it's an older building so not much you can do about that).
