1. The location is perfect as it is close to great shopping, great eateries, and the Hop-on Hop-off bus which takes you to Hollywood, Venice Beach etc. Shopping precincts within walking distance include the Beverly Center, Third Ave, The Grove and Farmers Market.

2. see for yourself and maybe LA has terrible hotels but I also stayed in a quality inn down in hermosa beach which i thought was just as good.

3. I first stayed at a hotel in Venice Beach and really liked the proximity to the beach and the activities around there.

4. Also, this makes it perfect if you are on business or simply want to make the most of the area including the fabulous beaches which are about a half hour in a taxi.

7. The West Hollywood location of the Elan was good and we were able to get to various sites from here on public transp[ort including the Getty Museum, La Brea Tar Pitsand Santa Monica/Venice Beach.

9. that wants to stay in a nice clean & quiet place, wants to stay somewhere centrally located (15 minutes to beaches, Hollywood Hills, just minutes to Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Sunset Blvd.

10. As I wanted to spend time in the city and on the beach, I booked into another hotel in Santa Monica after this hotel thinking it would be too far to drive each day, I did nt need to, it was only 20 minutes drive to the beach.
