The Omni is perfect for overnight accommodations: it has a town car that will pick you up from Union Station for free (be prepared to wait up to twenty minutes, or take a a cab, which will cost around six bucks); it's one easy and safe block from Disney Hall; it's next to MOCA, which is always worth visiting (there is a free shuttle to the Geffen from this location as well); and it's a reasonably priced, clean and comfortable hotel.

4. loved the courtesy car shuttle which will bring you within 3 miles, we went to LA LIVE staples centre and they dropped us off 1 block away and called after dinner for a rideback which was fantasticwe walked about 3-4 blocks to the subway which was very convenient (1.50$ one way or 5$ a day) and brought us to Hollywood/highland where all the Tours departed and where the action wasIf you are planning on doing Touristy things I would not recommend downtown LA area unless you have a car.

Spacious rooms and a great service, from the concierge (Daniel) who helped us in choosing the best bus guide to have a look at the most important sights of the city to restaurants (Ciudad is a Latin good one and it's in the neighbourhood) to the free shuttle service to move from the Hotel to some places close to the hotel.
