1. I would strongly discourage staying here at any cost, you are much better staying in The Hilton Americas down the street or even the lower grade Double Tree down the street, were a welcoming and fun attitude combined with a professional attitude was felt.

2. One restaurant is still closed from Hurricane Ike - the other 'Shula's' is not worth the money - if you want a good meal head to 3 forks down the street on Dallas .

6. Apparently there was an open unmarked lot across the street, but that was not explained, and I was very frustrated, but the front desk took care of it well.

7. The location was great also being only a couple blocks from the local bars, a tram to take almost anywhere, and across the street from a lot of good dinner places.

9. I usually stay at the Hilton America (down the street) when I am back in Houston, however they were full on this particular evening, so I decided to give the Hyatt a shot.

10. I went on a three-hour self-guided walking tour of the downtown area on a Saturday afternoon and was amazed to find closed restaurants and major streets devoid of cars.
