1. Detroit is clearly struggling, but the MGM is a nice oasis in downtown.

6. We booked the Grand Player package, which knocks the somewhat high cost of a room down to being comparable with the other hotels in downtown Detroit and really is a great deal if you plan on gambling a bit while you're in town.
