1. There is parking on the street (metered) and private parking lots right nearby, but the Hampton should do some kind of deal to reduce the fees.

2. We were able to find a great parking spot on the street in front of the Hampton, so did not have to pay the $18 parking fee, which was a bonus.

I booked the Hampton Inn and Suites Downtown after checking out the online pics and was surprised at the low rate of $119 for a king rm for the location (compared to Sheraton, Hyatt, etc) We were very happy with the location, and we were able to park for free right on Sherman St in front of the hotel for most of the weekend, avoiding the $18 a day valet parking fee.
