5. As for the amenities - the bathroom was low on towels, toilet paper and tissues, the one cup 'coffee maker' provided was set up in the bathroom next to the door that wouldn't close ~ unless you put all of your weight on it and when you did, it would make a loud bang (my girlfriend jumped out of bed one night thinking it was a gunshot coming from outside the window) and the amount of shampoo they give you wouldn't have washed the beard of the homeless man out front.

Good Points:- centrally located in Mt Vernon historic area - great if you want to explore that area- spacious room - king size bed with firm mattress - quiet hotel Bad Points:- we arrived at 11 pm and wanted to use bathtub but it was plugged up and did not drain - no plumber available until next morning at 9 am - breakfast is pretty sad - carbonized sausages, not enough coffee, no fruits or yogourt - no healthy food at all - no amenities - forget about a pool, business centre etc - this is a basic hotel with room onlyIf you're looking for something beyond basic, stay away from the Mt Vernon and check out the name brand hotels near the Inner Harbour.

8. No, it does not have mini-bars, spas, fluffy robes or jacuzzis, but for those people, like me, who are just looking for a centrally located place to stay that is clean, affordable and has the basic amenities (hair dryer, iron and ironing board, TV and coffeemaker in room) this is the place.

There is no fitness center; the restaurant is really just a cafeteria (complete with a serving line and food scooped on to your plate); the amenities in the rooms are outdated; the comforters are polyester and the pillows are thin; the parking garage has limited spaces and is so tight I was afraid I would not be able to get my SUV parked.
