4. The Cons: Parking is $48 a night (if you have a car that you are not planning on using for in and out-- ask for directions to park it down the street at a garage that is half the price).

The location was exactly what we wanted and allowed us to park the car for entire stay, and walk everywhere we wanted to go including the Capital, Union Station, all of the sites on the mall, the White House, etc. The staff was extremely helpful both before arriving (working with me to find a way to minimize the high valet parking expense) as well as during our stay.

8. We have a hybrid & when we parked our car in the garage under another hotel we stayed at in DC, they gave us a huge discount to park our car in their garage b/c it was a hybrid.

9. The staff was very accomodating - when I asked if there was a clos place to park so I would not have to pay the high valet fees, I was immediately told that there was a garage around the corner.
