1. We had a room to the back (8th floor) to avoid the noise from the street - except for the unmistakable garbage truck that came at 5 in the morning and gave us a rude awakening the room was quiet ;-).

7. The area is pretty quiet and we felt safe for being young women walking the streets to the train station at all times.

Just a five minute walk from Union Train Station and Capitol Hill (which is absolutely stunning) and also, the main tour buses stop right outside :-) A ten minute walk from 7th street which has approximately 40 restaurants and cafes (we can definately recommend the Brewery and Chophouse if you fancy a great steak).
