We did find the restaurant to be understaffed in the evening for
dinner
, but otherwise no complaints.

Interestingly, on our first night, when we came back from
dinner
, there was a big platter of freshly baked cookies & hot cider in the lobby for guests, but on the 2nd night we were told the hotel had discontinued putting this out.

The 'manager's reception' was just what we needed before
dinner
and the breakfast was excellent - one of the few complimentary breakfasts' that haven't been cut back in this age of retrenchment.

The hotel offers a free Managers Nightly Reception where you can mingle around and get a couple of drinks in along with some snacks (great for the kids before heading out for
dinner
).

Looked like some people were using this event instead of
dinner
, although I'm not sure how healthy this would be.

We went out for
dinner
and could see when we returned that a combination of the full hotel and parking spaces taken over by Day of the Tread race activities meant there might be a problem finding somewhere to park.

We took advantage of the 'Manager's Reception' which was not as grand as it sounds, but was pleasant to have a drink - we had margaritas - and some little appetisers before
dinner
.
