The hotel is seemingly in a convenient location, however the neighborhood to the south and west is very sketchy, lots of drunks, homeless people and drug dealers and users hanging around but McAllister street between Hyde and Larkin is pretty reasonable as there is the UC Hastings law school with two uniformed police officers always there.

2. First off, the staff is friendly and this hotel is in a great location if you want to visit the Golden Gate Park via public transportation (there a bus stop for the #5 right next to the hotel).
