1. This hotel is in great walking distance to a lot of great bars and the N Line is a few blocks away so getting anywhere around the city is pretty easy.

2. It's within close distance to some great restaurants, and a quick walk to the lower Haight, Castro and Hayes Valley where there's plenty more great bars and restaurants.

5. However, amenities you might take for granted aren't available here, such as: an elevator, little bottles of shampoo and bars of soap, a bedside table, a chair for reading after dark and, especially, a parking arrangement.

6. Three out of the four nights we were (Thurs-Sat) there, lots of noise erupted outside at 1.30 in the morning (when the local bars closed?) It took me a while to get back to sleep each time because people didn't seem to be going straight home but instead standing on the pavement shouting for a while.

7. Across the road from the hotel was a pub, quiet enough with a few snooker tables and as Ive previously stated an Irish bar just down the road, a lovely restaurant next door with a terrace outside and a 'slushy Joe' type fast food place down on Divisadero.

8. On arrival we saw a broken down hovel, dark ,dirty and very dangerous we decided to throw our deposit away and run as fast as we could (to the nearest bar that is).
