In my experience of probably 30 or more stays at the Cornell over 7 years, the owners and staff are friendly and courteous, the rooms relatively small (there are several sizes available) and clean, but comfortable and more than adequate for the price, I have never had any problem walking around the neighborhood at night, and there are many restuarants and a few small stores within walking distance.
