1. On the second night, we had more street noise than usual: turns out that someone (we assume housekeeping) had opened up our window a few inches during the day and we didn't realize it until the next morning.

2. Third of all, whether or not you 'know about' such things or are housekeeping staff, if you are a hotel employee, you should at minimum be polite and say that you don't know the answer to X problem but you will try to find the answer or someone who does know it, and/or know where extra clean sheets are kept.
