1. They said that they would NOT refund the CORRECT card until they got their money back from the card that THEY mistakingly refunded.

2. So, we call back the hotel, tell them this, and they said that the money was withdrawn from their account, so until they get that money back they will NOT refund the correct card.

3. So, I called the bank, asked them about the charge, and they said that that account is closed and they have no record of any refunds or attempts to deposit.

4. After some digging, we discovered that they had refunded my card that was on file from a year ago when I had stayed there previously, and that card is linked to a CLOSED bank account.

5. SO, in the end, we are still at war with the hotel to try to get back OUR money, even though THEY made the mistake of a) charging us twice for the room and b) refunding a closed bank account with no authorization.

7. Why they would pick a card at random to refund makes no sense to me, that card was not ever even part of the original transaction.
