2. We didn't find any restaurants close to the hotel so we opted one night to walk to Ghirardelli Square and ate at 'McCormick and Schmicks' in the bar area where they had happy hour food.

3. We arrived fairly late in the evening, but the receptionist was really helpful in pointing us in the direction of a food outlet which would be open late at night (Mel's drive-in - worth the walk).
