1. Just a short walk to all the cool stores and great restaurants, it's just opposite the gate to Chinatown.

3. We walked almost everywhere - all through China Town, to Fisherman's Wharf and the Alcatraz cruises, to the farmer's market at the Ferry Building, to Union Square, etc. For the few areas that were not within walking distance, we just hopped on the MUNI trolley.

5. Located right at the entry to China town and within walking distance of shopping, Ferry bldg (Farmer's market is located there and is not to be missed-also a great Vietnamese restaurant called Slanted Door), great restaurants---try the many restaurants on Beldin Lane with outdoor dining.
