1. ) Great beds, great bathrooms, my only beef is that they charge for Internet access (like most of the major hotel chains except for Residence Inn and Courtyard - in my opinion this is a goofy thing to do in the age of the Internet - like charging for cable TV access.

Our only complaints are 4 minor annoyances that may have been the result of incomplete detailing after the renovation: 1) the TV cable box didn't work and required 4 technician visits to troubleshoot (ask for Allen to go straight to the best); 2) the bathroom door didn't close properly; 3) the alarm clock had no battery backup and had to be reset at least daily; and 4) one of the bedside lamps was not plugged in, and the nearest receptacle was inaccessible.

5. Beats $40 cab ride any day and its faster) is literally across the street by Forever 21 and the Powell cable street car where it starts/finishes, guys literally have to turn cable car around to start up line again.

We were very happy with * Location - parallel to busy Powell St and the Powell cable street cars that go up to Fisherman's Wharf, and right near Market St and the visitor's centre, Yes, behind the building is the Tenderloin area, which we came across one night and felt slightly unsafe, but just avoid that area and it will be fine.

9. Hotel bedrooms are on par with a Holiday Inn from the 80's so major updating needed, no minibar, cheap coffee machine, internet both wifi and cable failed to work when the hotel had many clients staying and working in the hotel.
