1. Only downside would be having to carry heavy bags up the stairs to our room (no lift), but would recommend Hotel Boheme and go back there when in SF again.

3. If you like the cafe culture of the mediterranean, then I'd recommend this hotel as the atmosphere of the area is very similar.

4. Not far to pier 39 but we recommend going in the morning its quiet but a little tacky and go and see Alcatraz its brilliant book tickets before you go we went 9am boat and its quieter.
