1. Yep it's not the place for someone who wants all the modern amenities and frankly be sure to pack light because schlepping heavy luggage up all those stairs is a real drag (though I must say the staff is very happy to assist you with managing it) but it is in a top location, the heart of North Beach with fabulous restaurants & bars within walking distance.

2. Out the front door of the hotel is North Beach with world class eateries and bars, side walk dinning and drinking, Italian Bakeries and pastry shops with the world best coffee shops (not a Starbucks in sight), tons of unique shops and galleries The hotel is one block from China Town with hundred of distinctive restaurants and shops.

5. Smack bang in the middle of north beach with plenty of bars and restaurants close by and even though it was hilly both union square and fishermans wharf can be reached easily on foot.

But the location in San Francisco is second to none, you are surrounded by beautiful restaurants, bars and you just feel that you are part of a neighbourhood, easy to walk to all the tourist attractions and the hotel provide a local walking tour which is very interesting and has the history of the buildings featured.

9. You can spend all evening (and late evening) out and about enjoying the restaurants and bars, and then just stroll back to the Boheme, in the middle of it all.
