1. Several of us got rooms for Art Basel and were happy to find the location within walking distance to many bars, restaurants and the convention center.

Our highlights of the area include:- Oh Mexico restaurant- The Front Porch cafe on Ocean Drive (really good breakfast/brunch food)- Lost Weekend (a bar which has a great jukebox and pool tables - ladies drink for free on a Wednesday!)- Lincoln Road (a 5 minute walk north) which has lots of shops, bars and outside dining- Key Biscayne (it's a 20 minute drive from downtown Miami and the state park on the south of the island is devastatingly beautiful).

10. Otherwise, everything about The Clay was great - the rates were very cheap, particularly since it was a only a 5-min walk to Kennedy Road shopping and dining and a 7-min walk to the beach, and the vibe and atmosphere of Espanola Way at night is second-to-none (despite the noise).
