3. However the doctors, the prescriptions, the itching have not been compensated for and hardly worth the money we 'saved' by staying somewhere cheap.

4. In fact he refused to refund our money until we had notes from our doctors (which wasn`t a problem because we all had our doctors write them in case the hotel didn`t take us seriously) We were finally given a refund after a number of phone calls.

7. I'd say if Travelodge spent a bit of money updating this hotel and making the bathrooms a bit more 'user friendly' it would be a 4 or 5 star rating for sure.

8. So rather than smoke out in the street at the Travelodge, for far less money I smoked in the warmth of my lovely room at the Essex.

9. We then went down to the desk employe and said we wanted our money back but since our reservations were through Expedia they could not until we spoke with them.

10. We were finally refunded our money sometime late afternoon the next day after Expedia repeatedly calling the hotel to speak with the manager.
