The Seneca is situated across the road from The Water Tower and is in easy walking distance of lots of good shops and restaurants, including Macy's, Best Buys (great for photographic equipment) The Cheesecake Factory, and lots of other tourist attractions and is also close to the stops for the tour buses; we went online and booked our tickets for these in advance and paid a lot less than if we'd have brought them in situ.

5. They have: a kitchenette in every room, a staff that is beyond gracious to warm and friendly almost family, great location (behind Water Tower Place and the Hancock Building) and a lovely little restaurant that produces real taste treats.

7. If there is a small downside, it would be that there is no room service offered, but given the countless restaurants nearby, it was not an issue.

When we arrived we had a complimentary upgrade to a complete suite (it was like a real appartment (full kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom with 2 beds, 2 TV (one in living room and 1 in the room and 2 bathrooms!)The person at the desk was very helpful (after upgrading our room, he help us for booking Architectural cruise for us and explain where to find good restaurant in the neighborhood.

9. While maintaining it's intimate boutique style, Seneca has lots of amenities you wouldn't expect; beauty salon just down the lovely sweeping stairway, choice of two top-class restaurants and lovely neighbourhood bar which is in fact frequented by locals, which is always nice.
