5. (One South Loop hotel charged me $75 to get into my room 3 hours early!) Best things about this hotel: complimentary breakfast was generous and open for 4 hours, free copies of USA Today in breakfast area, free wifi was consistent with no drops, beds were comfortable and the bedding soft and abundant.

8. Appreciated the free WiFi and the fact that you have to swipe your key to get on the elevator or stairs- extra security (though somehow the pizza delivery guy was able to get up to our room, must have an agreement with the hotel.
