We booked the Fairfield Inn on Ontario
Street
because its rates were very reasonable, and it is a really nice location for those who want to hang out on the Magnificient Mile and at Navy Pier and the Ohio
Street
and Oak
Street
Beaches and the Lakeshore Trail.

Located on a tree lined
street
one block from the Magnificent Mile and 15 minute walk to the lake, we felt we were in a quiet hidden neighborhood in the city.

Later, when we asked at the front desk for a recommendation for Mexican food, the nice guy we spoke with steered us to Lalo`s on LaSalle
Street
, and my companion and I had one of the best Mexican meals we had ever had.

, sits rather incongrously in Chicago center city, on a relatively quiet

When we first arrived the high rise king suite that was requested prior the check-in was unavailable but the staff there quickly gave us a new corner king size room with views of the

and gladly gave us a discount.
