1. Rates were cheaper than any other downtown hotel, and their onsite valet parking for $10 was a huge plus (we needed a car for later in the trip), especially since there are no easy luggage storage options in NYC.

5. Across from the Skyline there's a deli which sells great breakfast rolls and terrific coffee, another tip is to use the 48hr ( hop on and off ,up and downtown) bus tours, the guides on the two we used not only are informative they entertained their passengers during the tour.

9. Take the Uptown and Downtown (and Night) bus tours for a general overview of the City on arrival - these leave from 8th Avenue/49 Street - just 10 minutes walk from the Skyline front door.

10. His prices are discounted from the full rate, but can be purchased even more cheaply from the Ticket booths downtown - but dont forget you will have to queue - so you get what you pay for.
