1. I live in 1 floor, the view is facing the street, nice and wide, full of sunshine and tree, facing a building ( I think it is a school or smiliar) by a widing road, like you living in a quarter, with nice view, building, tree, square, .

2. Also, light sleepers may want to request a room facing the back of the hotel, but you will miss the view of the busy street which is interesting itself.

3. The room was tiny (about 10 x 10), but clean and comfortable with a queen bed against one wall, small mounted flat screen TV, large window to view the busy street below, sparse utilitarian furniture (only room to hang a few clothing items and a shelf).

4. The room itself was typically small (NY sized) and didn`t have a great view but it`s absolutely fine for crashing and washing which is all you should need a NY hotel for.
