1. The Barclay's little gymIs really quite patheticIf you want a good workoutHit the streets-be peripatetic.
"If I Ran This Inn (By Dr. Seuss) " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/28/2012 Vote
2. Plus there are plenty of inexpensive eateries around the hotel, less walk to Madison and 5th Avenue (for shopping and tourist attractions), and each evening, we picked up some fresh fruits from a street vendor situated 1/2 block away (near Park Ave), which made for refreshing evening snacks.
"Excellent Location and Service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/12/2012 Vote
3. Still way much better than the horrendous Radisson further donw the street.
"Old and expensive " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/16/2012 Vote
4. Good deli down the street and starbucks up the street (few restaurants around open at walking distance on a Sunday night).
"Old and expensive " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/16/2012 Vote
5. When I pulled up in my car, the doorman rushed to me and asked me if I wanted to valet my car (with NYE all parking rules were suspended so why would I pay $55 per night to valet when I can park literally across the street for free - which is what I did) - when I replied no to him, he just walked away.
"Not worthy... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/3/2012 Vote
6. I am not talking about situations beyond their control: i.e. no drop-off porch so a big crush along 48E street, small rooms with poor views for example.
"It's an intercontinental... disappointingly so... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/3/2011 Vote
7. The beds were as remembered - extremely comfortable and well received after a day pounding the streets.
"Beds are amazing " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/7/2011 Vote
8. Front desk: upon entering off of 48th Street, the lobby is spacious with plenty of seating, a small library-esque corner fits a concierge (who gave me bad directions to the Cloisters), and a front desk with 5-6 counters.
"Traditional/Classic hotel in Midtown " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/7/2011 Vote
9. We found the room very quiet, on the 47th Street side of the hotel, overlooking the Waldorf.
"Location, location, location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/14/2011 Vote
10. Great restaurants abound in New York City but one that we particularly liked (and ate at 3 times during our stay) was Blue Smoke - a quick subway ride away at 116 East 27th Street to some wonderful barbeque and great draft beer.
"A beautiful 'old style' hotel. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/8/2011 Vote
