1. The rooms were comfortable and I got the best sleep I've EVER had, they use simmons mattresses with egyptian cotton sheets and pillow cases, nice and cool when you got into the sheets but kept you warm, an absolute delight.

3. Pros:- Comfortable room (but small, usual for NYC) with modern amenities - Comfortable bed and sheets- Restaurant was very good for dinner (but quiet and uncrowded)- Convenient - blocks to major subway lines to easily get uptown or downtown- Blocks to Times Square, Rockefeller Center and other major mid town attractions- Helpful staffDrawbacks:- Avoid room 304 as it is next to the fitness center; we were awakened around 4 or 5 in the morning by pounding on the treadmill and subsequent rattling from a loosened air vent - No lobby bar or much of a lobby (go next door to Algonquin Hotel Oak Room or across street to Royalton)-Lobby music - bad, bad, bad!- Brass appointed bathroom - hello 80s.
"Comfortable, basic mid town hotel in outstanding location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/29/2010 Vote

9. The high points - very comfortable bed (lots of pillows, high thread count sheets), very clean, excellent and polite service (doorman to front desk to room attendant), legitimate fitness facility (dumbbells, weight machines, sauna, cardio choices), superb intimate bar and restaurantThe nominal knocks - small lobby which was bit cluttered, small bathroom (but very clean, good pressure, excellent products, plenty of great towels and two fluffy robes), slow elevators (but zero noise at night!), smallish roomI'm joining their Gold Guest Advantage program and coming back soon - I stay in the City often (25 nights plus/year) and this hotel is my new favorite.
"Great bed, perfect location, attentive service - deserves all 4 stars! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/12/2009 Vote
10. Not much of a view, and the room was quite small, but the comfortable mattress and Frette sheets made up for it.
