4. DB Bistro Moderne almost next door was surprisingly good and not stuffy notwithstanding its celebrity chef background, and the diner down the street from the Iroquois was excellent value, efficient and convenient for an early 6 am breakfast or a late bite.

7. The location is great- two minutes walk from Times Square, and has a nice French breakfast place on the street towards Times Square which you can go to for a nice morning wakeup.

10. The best asset of the Iroquis is it's staff with particular mention to Bill, Carlos, Manik, Nick (who sorted out the best chocolate cake ever for my Fiancee's birthday!), and the excellent Reception and Breakfast staff.
