1. Perfect location in the theatre district for midtown and downtown, very friendly and helpful staff (the conceige, Alan, was brilliant and so helpful!), all the basics needed for a room only stay, clean and comfortable.
"Helped to create the perfect holiday....... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/6/2011 Vote
2. We paid for a 'citysights bus tour' from an agent in Times Square ( there are loads of them )which really helped us find our bearings, the $54each is really good value - lasts for 48hrs from purchase and it includes an uptown, a downtown, a brooklyn and a night tour, it also includes free entry to a museum ( can't remember which one ) and a cruise as well.
"so much to do so little time " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/13/2010 Vote
3. we used subway just to go to brooklyn and downtown.

4. Pros:- Comfortable room (but small, usual for NYC) with modern amenities - Comfortable bed and sheets- Restaurant was very good for dinner (but quiet and uncrowded)- Convenient - blocks to major subway lines to easily get uptown or downtown- Blocks to Times Square, Rockefeller Center and other major mid town attractions- Helpful staffDrawbacks:- Avoid room 304 as it is next to the fitness center; we were awakened around 4 or 5 in the morning by pounding on the treadmill and subsequent rattling from a loosened air vent - No lobby bar or much of a lobby (go next door to Algonquin Hotel Oak Room or across street to Royalton)-Lobby music - bad, bad, bad!- Brass appointed bathroom - hello 80s.

7. Everyone from the concierge to the desk staff to the doorman were friendly and great to talk to!the only consideration is that the place isn't super 'cheap' and our room had a view of a fire escape - but this is pretty standard for a downtown hotel - in the end a good value.
"A NYC Gem! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/13/2010 Vote
8. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk to Times Square which is where everything happens, this makes it alot easier to catch the uptown and downtown loop buses, which start and finish there, also you are central to everything so it is in walking distance.
"Fantastic Location, Extremely Comfortable beds!!! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/25/2010 Vote
9. And if you're a walking addict as we are, you can reach most of downtown and midtown Manhattan by foot.
"Such a cosy and nice hotel! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/26/2010 Vote
10. Also steps away from the subway if you need to go downtown, or off the island.
"Great location... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/21/2010 Vote
