1. We would have paid about the same either way, but I'm glad we chose the 'free drinks' package because it gave us a reason to check out the hotel's bar.

6. We didnt get a chance, but they have a pair of commuter bikes in they lobby you can use to check out the local sites, not sure if its complimentary or not.
