1. It's a bit of a hike from the South Beach area so we ended up taking buses or cabs a lot but it was nice to return home to a quieter neighborhood.

3. The price of the hotel is so reasonable relative to other hotels in the neighborhood, that I didn't mind paying the $9.95 resort fee, which covers breakfast, beach chairs & towels, newspaper in the lobby, and internet access.

8. Don't trust information from bell boys: I asked if they were bad neighborhoods in Miami (city) to be avoided by car, was said all was fine daytime but when I cruised there in my convertible, I found myself at a time in an area quite similar to the bad 'hoods in LA.
