3. The shops and restaurants in Kapalua were within walking distance and we recommend the Holnolua General Store as it was very reasonable and a cheaper alternative than other restaurants near by.

5. There is a General Store within walking distance for everyday needs (sodas, sandwiches, gifts) which was a great resource, both for convenience and keeping costs down on everyday essentials.

6. the sea bed is super clean and its a pleasure to walk into the water without worrying about a rocky sea bed or plants and stuff.

7. The walk back is up hill but not difficult for someone with working legs :) The beach was great - all beaches in Hawaii must have public access, but Kapalua is so secluded that it was probably 85% hotel guests and so it was not crowded.

8. It is just a short walk up the road and much better and cheaper than the Japanese restaurant at the hotel.

10. There is another beach about a mile away (still on Ritz property, so you can charge snorkel gear there to your room) which is a glorious walk (either by sidewalk, or skirting the coast on a lovely boardwalk/path).
