1. Like, if the air conditioner cycles off (and it does, a lot) you're confronted with stark street noise.
2. We were on the 4th floor and windows in the room looked out to another wall, which being a past New Yorker is a good thing as it blocks the street honking.
3. We were not safe, as street honking and ambulance sirens I have no problem sleeping through, what I could not sleep through were the sounds in the building.
4. It was $10 per day, or $25 for three days, but we were picking up signals from across the street that were better.
5. On the other hand, if you only need to check emails, etc., in the morning before heading out, there's a Starbuck's right across the street that has excellent free WiFi.
6. There was no free wifi here it is $10USD per day (though Starbucks is just across the street which has free wifi you can just about pick up from the room if you are on the correct side of the hotel).
7. Hotels in New York are always quite expensive, but this chic boutique hotel is in an excellent location on the corner of West 54th Street and Broadway, only 3 blocks south of Central Park, and 3 blocks west of 5th Avenue (love those shops!).
8. Directly across the street was the construction of a new tower block work started very early.
9. Right across the street from Starbucks, a bagel place, Europa Cafe (nice place to get a quick bite on the go).
10. Hotel charges $9.95/day - but you can just walk across the street and get it for free.
