1. The decor of the lobby was very elegant.

Melia is a European chain and this I believe was their first USA managed property, before Melia took over managing this hotel, it was a Renaissance Hotel (Marriott Corp) It doesn't appear that any renovations have been done at this property recently and while the decor and atmosphere are good, they definitely fall below what I would consider 4 star.
