6. We canceled the reservation at the last minute and a few days later I received a note from the manager of the hotel stating that he was sorry that we had to cancel and hoped that I was feeling ok.

7. The manager told me, when we were checking out that the rooms are due for a refurbishment, and that they were going to be fabulous, with flat screen tvs, new linens (nice already) and new pillows (which need changing), carpeting etc. The refurb is due to start early 2008.
