1. Hilo is maybe 10-15 minutes away and there are plenty of places around for lunch and dinner that are good.

2. Although it IS a bit of a drive a to Hilo but it is well worth the 20 minutes or so it takes and it really is NOT that far to go back to town for lunch or dinner.
