1. Spent a week at the Palms Cliff House and can't say enough about its beautiful location (right on a bay, with lush surroundings), friendly staff (couldn't have been more gracious), delicious and creative breakfasts that filled us up till dinner (the butter rum muffins were my fave!), and accommodating hosts (my husband and I both have dietary limitations that were handled beautifully).

9. The location of the B&B is great - close to Hilo (be sure to try Ken's Pancake Houes!) and Akaka Falls and a good place to stay if you plan to go to Volanoes National Park.
